Position Details
Palm Lake Care Toowoomba is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join our clinical leadership team on a Full Time basis. You’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered every day.
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values innovation, communication, and compassion in every aspect of care.

Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring quality care and compliance across the home. Your key responsibilities include:
Supervising and supporting the day today delivery of high-quality clinical care under the guidance of the Clinical Manager
Providing clinical leadership and mentoring to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants
Overseeing resident assessments, care planning, and documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards
Managing and reviewing complex wound care and coordinating allied health referrals
Supporting the Clinical Manager in audits, quality improvement programs, and compliance activities
Promoting excellence in infection control and clinical governance
Assisting with staff education, onboarding, and performance support
Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Charter of Rights
Participating in continuous improvement and clinical meetings to enhance resident outcomes
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this leadership role, you will bring:
Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a senior nursing role within Residential Aged Care
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same
Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills
Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Current National Police Check and valid C-Class Driver’s Licence
