Position Details
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Supervisor to join our construction team at Palm Lake Resort, Forster. This is a Full Time role, responsible for the day-to-day management of residential building site operations, ensuring homes are delivered cost effectively, on time, and to the high-quality standards Palm Lake Group is known for.
Reporting to the Construction Project Manager you will supervise trades and subcontractors, coordinate materials and resources, ensure WHS compliance, and oversee all aspects of construction to meet plans, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities
Effectively manage the building of new homes as required
Supervise and provide direction to trades and subcontractors onsite
Understand and communicate the requirements of site plans and specifications
Co-ordinate ordering, delivery and storage of materials
Authorise invoices, ensuring work has been completed satisfactorily and deliveries have been received in full
Review all aspects of construction against plans and specifications
Ensure time, quality and budget constraints are consistently met
Assist with management of local council requirements or objections where required
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with building code requirements
Promote and maintain Workplace Health & Safety standards and safe work practices onsite
Manage maintenance requirements in a timely manner
Foster a positive and focused working environment, resolving issues as they arise
Report progress and cost control regularly to senior management
Co-ordinate settlements and handover dates with the sales team
Provide assistance within the resort as required
Perform other duties as directed by management within the competency of the role

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Supervisor role with a residential builder (preferred)
Strong residential construction knowledge and site supervision capability
Trade qualification as a Carpenter and/or a building-related tertiary qualification
Proven ability to motivate, lead and manage trades and subcontractors
Experience coordinating resources and managing a high volume of homes under construction
Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
Current “C” Class Driver Licence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to actively participate in and/or manage Toolbox meetings
A positive and enthusiastic attitude
High levels of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously
