Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bethania are seeking CasualTime Housekeeping Attendants who are passionate about helping others and creating a comfortable, clean environment for our residents. We are seeking individuals available to work across a variety of shifts.

Shifts Available

Day Shift: 6am to 2pm or 6am to 10am

Weekend shifts available with penalty rates

Keeping our family healthy

Working in an aged care environment means being part of a broader mission to protect the health of some of our most vulnerable community members. As a Housekeeping Attendant your position plays a critical role in the cleanliness, and subsequent health, of our aged care community.

A community of vulnerable elderly presents health challenges that requires a hygienic environment. From dust and infection control to occupational health and safety, you’ll need initiative, problem-solving skills, and a clear understanding of hygiene, infection control, and the impact of cleaning products on elder health.

As part of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a hygienic and welcoming community. Your responsibilities will include daily cleaning of resident suites and common areas - vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and waste removal - all of which contribute to a safe and healthy home.

Most importantly, under the guidance of our Housekeeping Team Leader, your housekeeper position will make you essential to the things that make a house a home.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Experience in cleaning - Australian Aged Care Facility experience highly regarded
• A current National Police Check
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their effect on elderly health
• Excellent hygiene standards
• Eagerness to learn and grow
• Good time management and initiative
