Position Details

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Relief Caretakers to join the Palm Lake Group team. This flexible role will provide relief caretaking support across our resort communities located throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.

 

As a Relief Caretaker, you’ll step in to support day to day operations during periods of leave, busy seasons, or when extra assistance is required. You’ll help ensure that each resort continues to run smoothly and remains a safe, well-presented, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

 

This is a Casual position, with variable hours and travel required depending on operational needs across our network of resorts. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to the general upkeep, cleanliness, and presentation of resort facilities, grounds, and common areas.

  • Carry out or coordinate minor maintenance and repairs as required.

  • Support the smooth day to day operations of each resort, including facility checks and resident assistance.

  • Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards or maintenance concerns.

  • Assist with the setup and upkeep of resort amenities such as clubhouses, pools, and recreation areas.

  • Provide professional and friendly service to residents and visitors.

  • Ensure compliance with resort policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone who shares our values and belief that respect, passion, community, impact & safety underpin all the work we do.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities management, or a similar hands on role.

  • A flexible attitude and willingness to travel between resorts in QLD, NSW, and VIC.

  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • A proactive, self motivated approach and the ability to work independently.

  • A current driver’s licence.
